Leverage Trading Account

Your demat broker is not giving you these facilities. A leverage trading account does.

Up to 500× intraday leverage on equity F&O, commodities, crypto and US markets — and commodity trading from just ₹10,000–₹20,000, instead of ₹5 Lakh or more.

What your normal demat account is not giving you

Here is what a normal demat account can't — or won't — do for you today.

NOT ALLOWED

Crypto currencies

A normal demat account doesn't allow crypto at all.

Leverage account: allowed with 500× leverage on supported platforms.
NOT ALLOWED

US stocks & indices

Tesla, Amazon, Apple, Nasdaq, US 30, Dow Jones and more — out of reach.

Leverage account: allowed with 500× leverage.
ONLY 5× LEVERAGE

Real equity F&O leverage

Leverage account: 500× intraday, 50× carry forward.
ZERO LEVERAGE

Leverage on option buying

Buying a ₹100 × 65-lot option needs the full ₹6,500, intraday or carry forward.

Leverage account: 10× intraday, 3× on carry forward.
₹1,50,000 MARGIN

Option selling margin

₹1,50,000 is needed to sell one option lot — intraday or carry forward.

Leverage account: ₹5,000 intraday, ₹15,000 with carry forward.
₹5 LAKH OR MORE

Low-capital commodity trading

Gold, Silver, Crude, Natural Gas: margin of ₹5,00,000 or more, as per broker.

Leverage account: ₹10,000–₹20,000, depending on commodity and leverage.
LOT SIZE ONLY

Flexible short selling

Short selling only in lot size: if the lot is 500, you need a minimum of 500 shares.

Leverage account: below-lot-size short selling and carry forward, held till expiry.
NOT ALLOWED

Debit protection plan

If a leveraged position takes your balance negative, you have to pay the shortfall yourself.

Leverage account: you don't pay the negative balance — the Debit Protection Plan covers it.

All of this is available in one account.

Same ₹10,000. Very different buying power.

Share A trades at ₹1,000. You have ₹10,000 of capital. Here is the position size you can take in each account.

Intraday position
Leverage account · 500×
₹10,000 × 500 = ₹50,00,000 (₹50 Lakh)
₹50,00,000 ÷ ₹1,000 = 5,000 shares
Normal demat · 5×
₹10,000 × 5 = ₹50,000
₹50,000 ÷ ₹1,000 = 50 shares
Carry forward position
Leverage account · 50×
₹10,000 × 50 = ₹5,00,000 (₹5 Lakh)
₹5,00,000 ÷ ₹1,000 = 500 shares
Normal demat · 5×
₹10,000 × 5 = ₹50,000
₹50,000 ÷ ₹1,000 = 50 shares
On carry forward, the ₹40,000 amount will have 10–18% interest.
Illustration only. Leverage multiplies losses exactly as it multiplies gains — a bigger position means a bigger risk on the same ₹10,000.
Debit Protection Plan

Position went against you? You don't pay the negative balance.

Take a highly leveraged position, carry forward or intraday, and the market can move hard against you. If the loss is bigger than your account balance and your account goes negative, the Debit Protection Plan covers the shortfall. You don't need to pay the negative balance.

LEVERAGE TRADING ACCOUNT
Provided

We provide the Debit Protection Plan with your leverage trading account.

NORMAL DEMAT ACCOUNT
Not allowed

This facility isn't available. If your balance goes negative, you need to pay the shortfall yourself.

Example: 1,000 shares of Company A

1
You take the position
You buy 1,000 shares of Company A as a carry forward position, with ₹50,000 in your account.
2
The market opens against you
On day 2, the share opens 100 points in the opposite direction to your view.
3
The loss is bigger than your balance
1,000 shares × 100 points = ₹1,00,000 of loss, but you only had ₹50,000.
4
The plan covers the rest
Your loss is limited to the ₹50,000 you had. The remaining ₹50,000 is covered by the Debit Protection Plan.

₹50,000
Covered by the Debit Protection Plan — you don't pay this

Illustration only. The plan covers losses beyond your account balance — you can still lose the full balance in your account. Subject to the terms and conditions of the Debit Protection Plan.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much money do I need to start commodity trading?
In a leverage trading account, commodities such as Gold, Silver, Crude and Natural Gas can be traded with ₹10,000 – ₹20,000, depending on the commodity and leverage. In a normal demat account, margin is typically ₹5,00,000 (₹5 Lakh) or more, as per your broker.
How do I add and withdraw money?
Cash deposit and cash withdrawal are available with ₹1 Lakh and above. UPI deposit and withdrawal happen in a single day. Credit card deposit is not allowed.
What is different about short selling?
In a normal demat account, short selling is only allowed in lot size — if the lot is 500 shares, you need at least 500 shares to short sell and carry forward. In a leverage trading account, you can short sell and carry forward below lot size, and hold the position till expiry.
Which markets can I trade?
Equity futures and options, commodities (Gold, Silver, Crude, Natural Gas and others), crypto currencies on supported platforms, and US stocks and indices such as Tesla, Amazon, Apple, Nasdaq, US 30 and Dow Jones. Crypto and US markets are not allowed in a normal demat account.
What does the account cost?
₹5,000 per month, ₹12,000 per quarter, ₹20,000 for half year, ₹30,000 per year, or ₹85,000 for life time. Equity F&O brokerage is 0.02% of turnover, with taxes included.
What is the Debit Protection Plan?
If you take a highly leveraged position, carry forward or intraday, and it moves against you so far that your account balance goes negative, you don't need to pay the negative balance. For example, you buy 1,000 shares of Company A with ₹50,000 in your account. On day 2 the share opens 100 points against your view and you face a ₹1,00,000 loss. Your loss is limited to the ₹50,000 you had, and the remaining ₹50,000 is covered by the Debit Protection Plan. This facility is provided in the leverage trading account and is not allowed in a normal demat account. You can still lose the full balance in your account; the plan covers only the amount beyond it, subject to its terms.
Is trading with high leverage risky?
Yes. Leverage multiplies your exposure, so it multiplies your losses just as it multiplies your gains. A small move against a highly leveraged position can wipe out your capital. Size your positions carefully, use a defined stop-loss, and trade only with money you can afford to lose.
Why switch

Why you should shift from a normal demat account to a leverage trading account

01

Start with a fraction of the capital

Trade commodities with ₹10,000–₹20,000 instead of ₹5,00,000 or more.

02

100× more intraday buying power

500× instead of 5× on equity F&O: ₹10,000 of capital controls ₹50 Lakh instead of ₹50,000.

03

10× more power on carry forward

50× instead of 5×: ₹5 Lakh of position instead of ₹50,000 — and short selling below lot size, held till expiry.

04

Options without locking up lakhs

Sell an option lot with ₹5,000 intraday or ₹15,000 carry forward instead of ₹1,50,000, and buy options with 10× intraday and 3× carry forward leverage.

05

More markets in one account

Crypto currencies and US stocks & indices — Tesla, Amazon, Apple, Nasdaq, Dow Jones — none of which a normal demat account allows.

06

Support built in

AI Indicator, live classes and market sessions, research and recorded courses, login & layout help, and a dedicated Relationship Manager.

Reality check: leverage cuts both ways

Everything above that multiplies your buying power also multiplies your risk. A leverage trading account gives you more access and more flexibility — it does not guarantee profits. The Debit Protection Plan covers losses beyond your account balance, but you can still lose everything in your account. Trade with a plan, a stop-loss, and only money you can afford to lose.
